Many, well most of the youths today want to go abroad whether it is in seek of further study, carrier, adventure or simply a better standard of life. A lot has been talked about the future of the country and how youths are pivotal to it’s sovereignty and prosperity. But considering to youths today, their views and opinions, I don’t see the future to the country for another 50-60 years to say the least. I don’t know if it’s wise enough to blame the seniors or the youths themselves are not willing to change.
There is always a discussion of generation gap between elders and youths today, where the former accuses the latter of trying to act smart and thus neglecting the social norms and values while the latter argues the rigidity of the seniors and inability to change. It’s a age of technology, where human minds are governed by digital equipments and the world is no more miles apart. But the accusations would take nowhere and we all know that. Since youths are the future, what they think and how they act is of equal importance to how the elders are governing the society and the values.
Maybe it is the base that youths have captured or the times they have gone through that don’t let them act otherwise even though they think otherwise. With so much politically active youths and opinions, why is the country still lagging behind and the situation getting worse. In spite of these youth led revolutions, nothing has changed, and infact the situation is here to stay, for a long long time. I bet not many of the youths today will change once they get to the point. They have suffered so much that they don’t see a reason why they shouldn’t follow the same rules.
The evils are so deep rooted to the society that even the youths, with their fresh minds, ideas and enthusiasm cannot overcome their effects. No wonder that the country doesn’t have a future, as hard or rude as it may sound.The experience, wisdom and expertise of the seniors are not to be overlooked but it would do everyone good to set aside the conflicts and give youths a chance. Everybody is not always right and with the things and scenario changed, it would be better to experiment with the available resources.
Every single individual has a life and has right to choose his/her destiny. The topics of morality and ethics are getting further complex with the days and the essence of humanity and such are getting confusing. It’s the stage of development or should we call it so? Because as per the general definition development means moving forward, contradictory to which, with the current norms, values, and ethics followed, society is surely not moving forward. We might argue the advancement of technologies and the likes but that argument cannot neglect where the human society is going. And I’m talking about human life here, with which attaches the life of this planet. Neither of the generation are willing to listen teach other and follow but neither has the choice.
The youths today are stuck in a transitional phase and if they are to guide the children well, there sure is a better future, if not it’s foolish and a big stupid illusion to wish for anything better.
